Jeffry,
The overnighters are less vigorous than self-contained rides. The Club will carry your gear, and supply all the food, so a trailer or paniers are not needed, unless you plan to ride to the start in Crescent. Most people drive to Crescent and leave their cars at the elementary school. I typically ride a mild road bike or endurance bike with 700x28 tires. A road bike will work, but narrow tires will be difficult on the last two miles on the loose gravel of Larpentuor Road. Last year I rode 700x34s which were better on the gravel. Once at the camp, you have the choice of tent, that you will have to bring, or sleeping in the lodge on the floor. In either case, you will need a Therma-rest pad and sleeping bag. Bring your own towel and toiletries. Bring a flashlight for evening walks, and rain gear just in case. Sunblock and a cap would be useful. I pack my stuff in large zip-lock bags inside a green duffel, in case it rains.
