On Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm, the Ride of Silence will traverse and unite the globe. Cyclist in multiple locations all over the world will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often is not aware of these rights, and sometimes is not aware of the cyclists themselves.
The Ride of Silence in Omaha will bring awareness of the importance of safety, the importance of building strong knowledge of the rules of the road and the profound impact that each and every one of us has to ensure the safety of ourselves and all road users surrounding us by simply being alert for Vulnerable Road Users and obeying all road rules while we are on the road. The Ride of Silence places a special emphasis on cycling safety and honoring all cyclist that have lost their lives on roads.
